Hey Beautiful people, how was your democracy day holiday? I spent mine at work but branched at the market during my break and got tons of fabric  which I can't wait to give to my new tailor.

Now it's no secret that the Nigerian economy is not very favorable, especially to the average citizen who wants to look fashionable. If you refer to my post on tips on how to be fashionable on a tight budget, then you would note that I mentioned tailored clothing as an option.

Now while I prefer ready-made clothes or vintage, tailored clothing is more budget friendly, especially with the dollar Naira rate. So the solution as my mom would say is to get good fabrics and designs. My new found tailor CeCe nailed it for just 4k for everything!

Initially I was not going to style my co-ord set together as I'm not a big fan of bold prints. Though after several compliments I decided to give it a try and I must say I love the outcome. See the power of words.

When styling my culottes and peplum set, I decided to go for basic heels due to the bright print and my cat-eye frames to spice things up. I love the pajama feel of the fabric as well.

Co-ord: Tailored || Heels: Zara || Frames: Street Buy

How would you style this differently? And how do you stay fashionable on a budget?

One thing I love about tailored pieces is that you are not likely to find the exact piece in the exact style unless someone is trying too hard to imitate. Back to the outfit, I absolutely love this set. The colour and pattern is gorgeous. Well done Sarah. You look amazing.x

I love co-ords because you can wear them together and also as separates. And like Stephy said, tailored outfits mean they're unique to you!

I'm totally in love with this. Your tailor is a king o. Not like the usual Nigerian "I can sew it" tailors.

Finding good tailors in Nigeria is not an easy task most have brater mouths than hands. Love separates cos at the end you have 2 pieces and can style em separately (did that even make sense lol)
Love the peplum and culottes , I spent democracy day in school preparing for my defence.
