The holiday season is here with Christmas just around the corner and New Year's Eve already creeping in on us. A lot of us have already worn our Christmas outfits and brought out our holiday styles at the various parties we've already attended. While albeit late, I thought it would be fun to bring in another blogger for a holiday outfit collaboration, and who better than Opeyemi's Diary, my fellow fully covered but still fly sista; recall our previous collaborations here and here.

In Nigeria over here Christmas is generally a big deal, people go out with new hairstyles and clothes for the festivities. I've never really been among as I wasn't raised that way. While the Christmas craze seems to be dying down as my generation gets older and the economy gets tighter, one can easily spot an increment in the price of goods, the scantiness of urban areas as people head home for the festivities and most of all the western inspired Christmas decorations and promos that litter shopping malls, various building, and major roads.

When I think of the holiday's, I think sparkles, sequins, gold, and rich colors. While Opeyemi went with gold but opted for a rich royal blue, I went basic but classic with all black.  I how we both added gold accents with our accessories.  I incorporated gold tones with my pointed gold pumps and Aham custom-made necklace from  Aham Jewelrywhich is slowly becoming a favorite of mine in dressing up basic outfits.  Also observe how we both are in tune as we both opted for pleated skirts, Yass! Do you own a pleated skirt, it is a closet must-have.

My outfit could easily be transitioned for a new year's eve outfit too, see the versatility of all black! In the past, I had Christmas outfits that featured the typical red and green Christmas colours (herehere and here) but I thought to keep it simple!
