The New Year may already be well on its way but in the spirit of keeping to the annual blog tradition, this post is a recap of my 2019 from major highlights with a focus on the Blog. I love doing these posts and going back to read them because it's such a great way to document growth! One can easily forget how much has changed positively until you look back, my previous year in review posts of 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, proves this. I quite impressed at the fact that I've been so consistent with this  Now without further ado, let's hop right into this, shall we?

1. More Money, More Money
In 2019 we cashed out okay! It may not have been huge money guys but it's really exciting and humbling to see all the amazing opportunities that came through this platform which started out as solely a hobby! From hitting a six-figure deal, a first for me, to finally being able to actually sustain this blog after years of investments, it's amazing. I'm so thankful to you guys for sticking with me all these years. It hasn't exactly been easy, heck I almost quit, doubted my worth even but I pushed and finally it's paying off! Praise God!

2. Lagos Fashion Week
I visited Lagos for the first time and was able to attend Lagos Fashion Week 2019, finally after years of following it online. It was exciting to see and talk with some of my favorite social media people all in one place and explore a new city. I created a bit of content from this trip, check it out below:

3. Collaborations
In 2019, I did a good number of collaborations but my favorite so far and ever had to be this one below showcasing one of my favorite things, colors! And with some of my favorite Abuja based bloggers too. I never got around to posting it on the blog for some reason. As a matter of fact, the post is still sitting in my drafts but this year is the year we finish what we started! So look out for this post and tips on how to pull off a creative collaboration.

4. New Platform
I launched my Youtube Channel towards the end of the year. I'd never thought I'd do this, however, seeing the takeover of video content, and the fact that I delved into style videos, I thought this move would be a great extension of this blog, my brand, my content. Presently my goal with this channel is to focus on things that I already cover on this blog from fashion, faith, down to Abuja living but just through video content. Definitely check out my channel and subscribe here!

All in all 2019 was a good year, especially on the blog. I may have stepped away from this platform, and focused more on Instagram which was mostly due to blogs dying out and Instagram taking over. I'm so thankful for all the growth. In writing this I've realized that I've been blogging for 6 whole years! And 2020 will make it 7 years, wow! This blog has been one of the most consistent things in my entire life apart from God and my family.

On this note, I'm ending this post wishing all of you, my beautiful people, a Happy New Year! I pray that this year will be your best yet. Now I know that the devil may try it but we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus! I hope your 2020 is already off to a great start and if not, just remember that it's not how you start but how you finish!

How was your 2019? Any highlights or major moments? I'd love to know!

Till next time guys!

  1. More style content from you. 2019 was a year of "doing it afraid" and I had all the support I needed especially from you. I enjoyed lots of new experiences and all glory goes to God.
