NIGERIAN BLOGGERS FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Hey beautiful people!
Not your typical fashion post huh? Well it's all for a good cause. For those of us who are not aware, October is the month for breast cancer awareness. And I was privileged to be part of a campaign on breast cancer awareness in collaboration with my fellow Nigerian blogger babes and championed by Larisa of Larisa Le Fleur and Winifred Atuase.
I'm not a health expert, neither do I know everything about breast cancer but the importance of getting checked can not be over stressed. One thing I do know, is that breast cancer is scary, the statistics are scary, I mean one in eight woman are at risk of this.
So what does one do when it seems all hope is lost? The quote on my shirt says "The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still" (Exodus 14:4)
Cancer is a battle, one in which many have fought and lost but when you have the Lord of heavens army fighting for you, all you need to do is chill.
Today we remember all the brave women and men who have gone through this and those who are currently in this situation. I kept thinking of what I'd say but truthfully as a faith person, at the end of the day when situations are beyond our control, that's when Gods almightiness shines forth.
So what am I trying to say, know yourself, check yourself. Early detection is better and trust that no matter what God has got us and all things are working for our good. With that being said, I have made up my mind to go get checked, have you?

This is beautiful, when women come together power is diffused.
ReplyDeleteExactly ladies, thank you so much. We women have got to stick together
ReplyDeleteThis post is revolutionary. Its amazing seeing everyone stand up for a good cost. I'm saddened that there has been no cure for this yet. I also remember in loving memory one of my readers who passed away from cancer... Hopefully we find a cure soon.
