The Best Chicken Salad Ever at Zanzibar Lounge and Grill Abuja
One of the recommended things to do in Abuja for fun is to go out and have some good food, perhaps try new dishes too. And several weeks back, I had the best chicken salad ever as well as some other amazing dishes at Zanzibar Lounge and Grill in Maitama Amusement Park. This spot is located at the front of this park, on the opposite end of the cube cafe.

It was a Sunday brunch date with Joyner of Msjlifestyle, Oroma, her friend and we were hosted by the manager of the space, Susan (Thank you). We had great talks over the blogging industry as well as laughs too. It was my first time meeting Oroma actually and I must say she is quite funny!
Food:
Let's talk about the food, for drinks I had a virgin mohito (which was quite good) to go along with spaghetti Bolognese and the Chicken Salad which was the star of the show. The flavors all came together so well, I was impressed most especially when told the dressing was made in-house. Also the portions were quite big, one plate was enough to feed two people and there were leftovers too. Oroma and her friend had chicken wings and prawns as pictured below.

Chicken Salad N2,600
Spaghetti Bolognese N2,300
Grilled Jumbo Prawns N3,950
Zanzibar BBQ Chicken N2550
Price:
Apart from the prawns, all dishes were below 3k and the portion size was impressive, drinks were standard so I'd say for the most part the restaurant is affordable.
Ambiance:
Nothing special honestly, it's just your average food spot which doubles as a bar in the evenings. The interior of this spot is actually set up as a bar.
Would I go back? Probably, if nothing else then for some chicken salad to go with a mohito. The next time you find yourself at Maitama Amusement Park, be sure to stop by for the amazing chicken salad.
Zanzibar Grill and Lounge is open Mondays-Sundays and you can reach them here
